DTM Groundworks Ltd is a privately owned groundworks contractor. We own all our own small plant as well as a 5t excavator and 6t dumper. Any other plant that may be required is hired through one of our preferred suppliers.
Our workforce consists of around eight skilled operatives, with our most experienced men being fully trained with all relevant CSCS/CPCS/NPORS plant certification and health and safety training. All other employees are currently on our comprehensive training programme.
Site Maintenance / Facilities Management
We are able to carry out concrete service yards repairs, macadam repairs, resetting or replacing broken manhole covers plus drain repairs and maintenance. We are also experienced in installing barriers, fencing, gates, bollards, protection hoops and other such street furniture. Please contact us should you require any assistance in maintaining your facility.
Site Remediation
We can help prepare your site for construction by breaking out existing pavings, removing in-ground obstructions or by removing unsuitable material. We are also able to carrying out on-site crushing or existing concrete and brick for re-use as hardcore.
Bulk Excavation
The services we offer include site strip, reduced level excavations, cut and fill and bulk filling. We are able to offer disposal of excavated material off site, including the handling of hazardous or contaminated material. We are able to offer both bulk excavation and foundation works in a complete package, thus eliminating the overlap between the two trades.
Foundations
In-situ concrete foundations including bar and mesh reinforcement as well as both temporary and permanent formworks systems such as Pecafil. We also have extensive experience of cropping and tying into pile caps. We have carried out many basement excavation works, many in confined spaces.
Retaining Walls
We carry our own skilled steel fixers and joiners who are able to deal with even the most complex formwork and reinforcement details whether it be traditional timer or steel pan formwork. Our previous experience covers the construction of dock leveller pits/retaining walls.
Concrete Slabs
Including both power floated internal floor slabs and brushed concrete external slabs. We are also able to carry out first floor slab works to either metal deck or pre-cast concrete bases.
Drainage
We have many years experience in installing all types of drainage systems from house drains to major pipeline projects including Section 104 works. Our work covers manholes (plastic PPIC, PCC and brick), petrol and oil interceptors/separators and large scale storage tanks including in-situ concrete, pre-cast concrete, steel ‘tubosider’ style tanks and ‘egg crate’ storage systems.
We carry all the necessary street works certification (SWQR) required for working in public highways and have confined spaces certification to City & Guilds standards. Our workforce possesses many years experience in sewer connections to existing systems, often in the most awkward and congested locations.
We also install various types of channel drainage including ACO channels and Gatic Slotdrain.
Utilities
Installation of all utility services including excavation, ducting, ID tape, access chambers, draw pits, lamp column sockets/foundations and lamppost erection/installation. We can also pull through cable runs if required.
Hard Landscaping
As well as kerbs and edgings, we employ several experienced pavers who have many years experience laying pre-cast concrete paving, block paving, traditional stone setts and York Stone flags. We also have many years experience installing brushed concrete external slabs. We can also carry out small scale macadam works as well as install all of your street furniture.
Soft Landscaping
Services include tree felling, grading, top soiling and timber retaining walls. We have extensive experience with both traditional concrete reinforced retaining walls along with gabion retaining walls. Past works have included the application of tanking and waterproofing systems.
Engineering Services
We have the services of a fully trained and experienced setting out engineer that can take care of either our works or your whole project. All necessary instruments can be supplied.
